More on @GodsWordIsLaw’s Failed #RaptureNYE

That now deleted post in full

Compare the way the following is written….

This will be the final blog entry to ever appear on CFAMA as we are preparing to ascend to the Heavens tonight when God sends for us in the New Years Eve Rapture. God has divulged the Rapture details to his chosen elect only so we are not at liberty to give the many Atheists who cyber-stalk this blog any tips on salvation in the event of the Rapture. We only have this to say to you – may God have mercy on your troubled souls.

Unfortunately, “RaptureNYE” was an elaborate prank devised by a group of vile Atheists intent on harming the reputation of CFAMA and its founder Keith. Our two twitter accounts (@GodsWordIsLaw and @CFAMW) and blog were all compromised and we have notified the police who have launched an investigation into the hacking. We apologize to all of our valued readers who were taken in by this sickening prank.

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Those are both from http://christiansforamoralamerica.blogspot.com/, the first being the (now deleted) ‘final post’ about the Rapture, the one Keith is now claiming was the work of ‘hackers’. They read to me as if they were written by the same person.

My Fundamentally Flawed podcasting colleague, Marc Hall, has more over on his blog.

  1. You're te best, Alex. Keep the grins on this guy. You don't get to walk away from claiming you're a prophet of god who has predicted the end times and swerve back into homophobic nonsense without public recognizance.

  2. Actually, that's a pretty regular occurence, isn't it? Mind you, when it comes to conspiracy theories to cover one's ass, that Keith guy is a rank amateur compared to Jack Chick and his people. For instance, get a load of who they (and their sources, if you can read the small print) say actually runs the vatican.Mind you, those people were publishing comics that were saying that the rapture was due "any time now" or "very close" about 30 years ago, with the same two main protagonists in it! Chick's artist has not aged those two guys enough for 30 years to have passed. (it's the black guy who's name I forget and the white guy named "Tim")

  3. An addendum: Chick's theories aren't designed to cover anyone's ass as far as I can tell.

  4. And since I've started talking about it, some more (ok, a LOT more) crazy shit about the "Black Pope" who is (the leader of the Jesuits

  5. Herd summed it up for me too.

  6. Can we put an Asterisk next to this Masterpiece?*Artist rendering of the most delusional WTF known to mankind.p.s.There has GOT to be some sort of award we can give for the line written below…."God has divulged the Rapture details to his chosen elect only so we are not at liberty to give the many Atheists who cyber-stalk this blog any tips on salvation in the event of the Rapture"

  7. [Howdy, Alex. Saw this fascinating bit on the net. Harvey] Pretrib Rapture 101 This crash course is needed for this 2012 election year. The "rapture" is known theologically as the "pretribulation [or "pretrib"] rapture." It's a secret coming of Christ, said to happen years before the Second Coming, that reportedly can occur at "any moment" and can evacuate all true Christians from earth to heaven before the "great tribulation" found in Matt. 24, Rev. 7 etc. – end time escapism unknown in all official theology and organized religion before 1830! Conservative evangelicals had long assumed that 19th century British teacher John Darby was the "father" of dispensationalism, the most popular aspect of which is the same "rapture." Journalist/historian Dave MacPherson, focusing more than 40 years on locating long forgotten "rapture" documents in England etc., has found evidence destroying many such assumptions and, even more monumental, has run into pervasive dishonesty in that fanatical 182-year-old, mass-marketed-in-America theory – the fans of which are not above distorting and even deleting "rapture" facts on Wikipedia! Curious? Google articles like "Pretrib Rapture Politics" (if the rapture doesn't happen before the election!), "Famous Rapture Watchers," "Pretrib Rapture – Hidden Facts," Pretrib Rapture Diehards," "America's Pretrib Rapture Traffickers," "X-Raying Margaret," "Edward Irving is Unnerving," "Deceiving and Being Deceived" by D.M., "Pretrib Hypocrisy," and "Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty." MacPherson's "The Rapture Plot" is the most detailed, accurate, and highly endorsed history on the same "rapture." Excellent theological works that demolish pretrib rapture doctrine include Joe Ortiz's "The End Times Passover." Here's hoping that all of you will get A+ in this course!

  8. http://www.rickross.com/reference/fundamentalists/fund323.html Interesting article about why young people are leaving the church.

  9. He does more harm to the cause of Christians than help it. He is against everyone except his own small group Anyone that disagrees with him is on his hit list. even normal everyday Christians
