God: Perfect?

Genesis 6:7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them

How could a perfect being make a mistake? You see, Christians, this is the kind of problem you get if you start making outlandish claims for your deity…..

  1. Brilliant. After 3000 years, you are obviously the first person to notice this. You must be some sort of genius.

  2. Brilliant. After several days, you are obviously the first person to notice this post. You must be some sort of anonymous sadsack.

  3. So, in other words, "anonymous" and his ilk have always been aware of this problem but continue to ignore it. Willful Ignorance.

  4.      No, I noticed the post. I just didn't have anything to add.

  5. It's part of the problem that Christians have created by having to make sure their god was the 'best' of all the gods. They ended up making it a logically impossible being. It's funny how hard they 'argue' for logic, considering their 'logic' is so often utterly circular

  6. Hello is all right. You have said that you were schooled in theology. It is interesting that you made such an elementary error that Genesis was not written by Christians.

  7. Yawn. Obviously Genesis wasn't written by Christians, but it's believed by them. I could have equally have said 'Jews go wrong….' or 'Muslims go wrong….' – any group that believes Genesis to be literally true has the problem of omnipotence vs omniscience. You remind me of a chap called Trent who posts on Pleaseconvinceme, he nitpicks to avoid addressing the actual issues as well.
