More Creationist Lies

Ken Ham, you know him, he’s the Australian Creationist bullshitter with the stupid chin beard, the Charlatan in Chief at ludicrous lie factory Answers In Genesis. He claims that dinosaurs lived alongside man, even after the mythical flood of Genesis.

When one understands that land animals (including dinosaurs) were made on the sixth day of creation—that there was no death (of animals or man) or disease (there are dinosaur bones that show evidence of diseases like cancer) before sin—that all the land animal kinds (including dinosaurs) were on the Ark—and that many animal groups (including dinosaurs) have died out since the Flood (because sin, the curse, and the Flood affected the world)—then it’s easy to explain the history of dinosaurs.(1)

But Ken! There’s no evidence whatsoever, anywhere at all, of human and dinosaur remains being found together! There’s no evidence of a global flood either! How can what you’re saying be true? What evidence do you have?

Also, there is a lot of evidence (such as carvings and paintings of dinosaur-like creatures)—and (unfossilized) dinosaur bone with red blood cells—that makes sense in the light of the biblical account of history. Did you know that a dinosaur may be described in detail in the Bible? Check out Job 40:15–19. And if the notes in your Bible state that this animal was an elephant or hippo, read the passage again to see that this can’t be so. (1)

What??? The Bible describes a dinosaur?? Wow! I’ve got to read that….

15 ¶ Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
16 Lo now, his strength [is] in his loins, and his force [is] in the navel of his belly.
17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
18 His bones [are as] strong pieces of brass; his bones [are] like bars of iron.
19 He [is] the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his
sword to approach [unto him].
20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
22 The shady trees cover him [with] their shadow; the willows of the brook
compass him about.
23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, [and] hasteth not: he trusteth that he
can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
24 He taketh it with his eyes: [his] nose pierceth through snares. (Job 40)

Crikey! That DOES seem convincing!! And you say there were red blood cells in that fossil? It seems that John Morris agrees!

The recent discovery of dinosaur soft parts (see page 5) has spawned much interest among scientists. The deposit in which the Tyrannosaurus rex fossil was found is dated at 70 million years. Not only were blood cells found, but soft and pliable tissue as well, including flexible blood vessels. Paleontologist Mary Schweitzer, who made the discovery in Montana, exclaimed: “Finding these tissues in dinosaurs changes the way we think about fossilization, because our theories of how fossils are preserved don’t allow for this.” (2)

WOWEE!! Mary Schweitzer dug up a fossil with blood cells in it?? BAPTISE ME NOW!!

But wait a moment! Mary Schweitzer’s paper about the fossil can be read here –, and it doesn’t say that blood cells were found, describing the forms as pretty much being fossilised cells! She’s also not impressed with the way her data is being interpreted

Young-earth creationists also see Schweitzer’s work as revolutionary, but in an entirely different way. They first seized upon Schweitzer’s work after she wrote an article for the popular science magazine Earth in 1997 about possible red blood cells in her dinosaur specimens. Creation magazine claimed that Schweitzer’s research was “powerful testimony against the whole idea of dinosaurs living millions of years ago. It speaks volumes for the Bible’s account of a recent creation.”

This drives Schweitzer crazy. Geologists have established that the Hell Creek Formation, where B. rex was found, is 68 million years old, and so are the bones buried in it. She’s horrified that some Christians accuse her of hiding the true meaning of her data. “They treat you really bad,” she says. “They twist your words and they manipulate your data.” (3)

Huh, that doesn’t seem good at all. So not only are Ham and Morris lying about Schweitzer’s find, but she (a devout Christian herself) is convinced that the sample is 68 million years old.

But what about that Bible passage? That’s some convincing dinosaur describin’ going on up there….but what’s this?

16 Lo now, his strength [is] in his loins, and his force [is] in the navel of his belly.

‘Navel of his belly’?? Er….dinosaurs hatched from eggs, right? So no dinosaur would have a navel.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and make the following statement –

Ken Ham is a liar.
